About Hudson Grove
Hudson Alexander Grove was born with Hypoplastic Left Heard Syndrome & Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return.
He endured 2 open hear surgeries, many catheterizations & procedures, yet despite it all he always kept smiling. I’ve tried to capture who he was with the story of Huddle Bear, but nothing can compare to how special he really was.
It’s a strange thing that a 40-year-old man could learn so much from a five-year-old boy, but that’s exactly what happened.
Hudson taught me that illness is not a condemnation to misery, that happiness can be found if you know where to look, and that all my hats were in fact his property.
I don’t think the emptiness his absence has left me will ever go away, but I know that I’ll always carry him with me in my heart.
If he were here today, I would just thank him for everything he shared with me, his mom, and dad, his friends and followers on social media, for being my best buddy, and for letting me be his Uncle Andy.
I will see you again one day, Hudson. Until then, say hi to monkey and water for me, and keep your socks on.
